Punch cartoons by Paul Crum (Roger Pettiward). Along with Pont, his work for Punch in the 1930s and early 1940s was responsible for modernising cartoon art in the Twentieth Century. His cartoon "I keep thinking it's Tuesday" must surely be one of the greatest cartoons ever created; and his early surreal comic style was a forerunner to the type of humour found in the Goon Show and Monty Python.
